Simply put, a METASCORE is a weighted average of reviews from top critics and publications for a given movie, TV show, video game, or album. They grade a movie on a scale of 0-100 based on their qualifications.
This relationship examines whether movies with higher Metascores, which could be considered successful movies, share something in common. Our findings show that the longer a movie is, it has a greater chance of a better Metascore. Additionally, movies who draw more people to the theater have better Metascores.
This scatter plot displays that the longer the movie, it is more likely to receive a better metascore displaying that this movie would be more successful.
This area chart displays that higher the Metascore, the more likely that movie is to have a higher audience count.
